Family Update
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I'm posting a little family update and asking for your prayers. Being the adventurous youth minister that he is, Chase managed to break his right foot and sprain his ankle at the youth lock-in early Thursday morning. He landed on a basket ball while playing basket ball. I'm not sure how he managed that but he did. He will be wearing a very stylish black boot for up to 6 weeks. He is doing fine though. I guess it's just a little inconvenient. The lock-in went well. Thanks Jarrod, Chris, Devon and Mike Jones for helping!! Pray that his foot heals properly and timely.
Also on Thursday I took John Caedmon to the doctor because he had started running a high fever. I found out that he had ruptured his left ear drum, had an infection in both ears and has a little case of winter bronchitis. He is doing well although sleeping poorly. He comes up to me often and says "I want to hold you Mommy." Our prayers are that his ear drum would heal perfectly and that he will not have long term hearing loss.
Both of these events are just a little inconvenient and it reminds me to focus on what is really important this Christmas. I am looking foward to spending time with our families and celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ this Christmas.
Thank you for your prayers and may God bless you and your family!

We agree with your prayers for Chase and John Caedmon. May they be well, and may grace cover your house.
Merry Christmas,
Sam
P.S. The pound cake that Chase made is scrumptious. I must have his recipe. Also, any photos of him and his apron would be appreciated on the blog... ;)
Oh, that foot looks awful; I hope and pray it heals quickly! Merry Christmas to you and yours, Janet.
