Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers! We are now back from our vacation and back into the 'real' world. It's nice to have those moments of escape but unfortunately I have to come back to reality now.

I realized this morning that right now for me Mother's day has nothing to do with getting a break from motherhood. I was awakened to a crying baby, and a toddler with diarrhea. I am reminded that life really is not all about me. Sometimes I'd like for it to be, but it just isn't. Mother's day is about honoring our own mothers. Shouldn't we live our lives focused on others? Jesus has called us to be servants and to put others ahead of our own desires. There is always blessing in obedience. So I will shift my focus, get back to relity, and go own with the joyful busyness of rearing young children. It was nice to of my sweet husband to have out for me on the table some beautiful yellow roses, a sweet card and a great book. Thanks Chase for your thoughtfulness!

So Mom thanks for all that you have done for me through the years! I love you!

Fun at Disney

We enjoyed a fun day at Disney's Magic Kingdom park yesterday. We were there from 1 pm until 9:30 pm. Everyone had a blast. Even John Caedmon enjoyed the rides. We stayed for the fireworks at the end of the day and enjoyed getting soaked from head to stroller! I'll write more later. Right now we are watching Aladdin togethor.

Exploring around the Marriott Grand Vista

Yesterday was a fun day here in Orlando. We went exploring around the Grand Vista with two strollers! There is a bordwalk along the lake with swings which we enjoyed walking down. "Look there's a lizzard " was frequently said on our little walk. There are sooo many lizzards around. We have yet to see a snake or an aligator here, which is fine by me but sad for Chase and Chloe! We found a nature trail and walked down part of it. We'll have to explore more of it later, I got tired.

After an early dinner, we all enjoyed our first swim of the season. The sun was still out but since it was late we didn't have to worry about sunburn on the little ones. It was a fun swim. Both Abbey and John Caedmon enjoyed a little fall under the water! And neither one cried or was scared.

If you are interested in what it is like were we are staying, double click on the title. I have linked it to the Marriott's site.

Here are a few fun pictures from the day. Enjoy!
